This is a song of a Japanese idol group Hey!Say!JUMP, it was written by one of its member and also its center, Yamada Ryosuke. In one of an interview he said he was writing a song while surrounded by candles, and when their 3rd album smart was released on June 18th 2014 we all know that the song he mentioned was this. According to one of the interviews, the members were record this song in the darkness so they could add more feeling to it.
Candle is a song about wishing a happiness of your beloved person, it has like a "done at the last minute" kind of feel, Yamada himself said it could or couldn't happen in real life and it'd be nice if a person like this really exist, he also said it's impossible for him, he couldn't see it in himself, but he it's also something he could certainly do as an adult.
The "The feelings that shower over me, are just like tear droplets melting off a candle" part represents the man's feeling, just like a tear that touch the candle, melting, goes away. Other than wishing for another person's happiness, this song is also about killing his own feeling to the girl.
"Furi sosoideku omoi wa Maru de namida mitai ni toketa candle" was the most heart-breaking part although for someone who doesn't understand Japanese because we can still feel it from how they sing it, and also the melody. It's absolutely heart-breaking.
This is also one of my favorite songs from this album, especially because Yamada Ryosuke was the one who wrote this..
