Smoke & Cigarettes

Diposting oleh Sophie-chan di 09.16 0 komentar
Cigarettes are one of the most dangerous things in the world, by smoking a cigarettes there are a lot of disease that may come to the smoker. Millions of people died every year because of the cigarettes, and those people who don’t smoke also have a high risk to get any dangerous diseases because they smell the smoke of the cigarettes. Sadly even though it’s really danger for human’s health the governments seem like they don’t care about it, they still allow cigarettes sold in every story, even the little ones. People who have cigarettes’ factory and the advertisement might write and say that smoking cause heart attack, etc, but people who have already tried cigarettes before usually won’t care about what they might get because of smoking cigarettes because they are already addicted to it.
I think, the best way to solve this problem is by close all of the cigarettes’ factories, ban cigarettes in every store, or give a light punishment to those who smoke for example if they smoke, they have to pay a fine.

The Answer

Diposting oleh Sophie-chan di 08.27 0 komentar
1. Positive and negative effects of tourism that mentioned in the article are:
    a. Positive effects:
- Tourism can help the local citizen to maintain their own cultures and promote them to another cities and even another country so that everyone know to whom a culture belongs to.
- Tourism provides jobs to those who are interested in cultures.
- Tourism increases the local and even its own country economy.
- Tourism gives new knowledge, especially in culture, it also becomes a part of education.
    b. Negative effects:
- A tourism place that becomes over-exposed usually becomes a dirty place, the tourists throw trash everywhere, we can see it in some places like Bali, Pangandaran, etc.
- Tourism can damage the environment.
- Local places that were more traditional get modernization where some of the people and places follow the trends and don’t really care about their traditional side.
- Tourism changes the local citizen and its country, and sometimes it even becomes worse.

2. Some jobs that related to Tourism are:
   a. Tour Guide
   b. Travel Agency
   c. Translator
   d. Merchants who sell souvenirs

3.  Recent events that affected the Tourism industry
a. Waisak Festival in Borobudur, Yogyakarta, where there are a lot of people releasing lampions. It makes every tourist from all over the world interested in this ceremony and join it.
b. Nyepi in Bali.

4. Batu Karas beach, West Java.
Well maybe there are not a lot of people who know this place, but compare to few years before this place has become more and more crowded now, especially in the weekend or holiday.
This beach is located in West Java, few kilometers from Pangandaran beach, compare to Pangandaran this place is more beautiful and relaxing but now it also becomes crowded, even though it’s not as crowded as Pangandaran, and at least the tourists who came think about the environment by not throwing trashes everywhere, so it’s not really dirty.
I think this tourism place gives a good influence for our country, Batu Karas is known as a good place to surf in Indonesia, I even saw a website that gave a high star for this beach, that’s why it becomes popular for surfers, there are a lot of surfers who come to this beach every year.

5. A country I want to visit: Japan.

Like I’ve said in my previous post, I really want to visit Japan because I really love Japan since I was a little girl. I love the cultures, buildings, foods, and there are a lot of things that are cute which I really love. I have a lot of things to do and a lot of places to see if I ever happen to visit it one day. Beside, I love how Japan never forgets their cultures no matter how modern it is.

Tourism: A Place I want To Visit

Diposting oleh Sophie-chan di 10.45 0 komentar
Actually there are a lot of places I want to visit but I think Tokyo, Japan is the place I want to visit the most, especially in Spring like now cause we can see the beautiful cherry blossom, it makes the town turn pink which is so wonderful.
Tokyo is labelled as the most populous metropolitan area in the world, but in my opinion, no matter how metropolitan it is it never leaves its traditional side (e.g. the characteristic of the buildings, people still wear Yukata when they come to festival, etc). I've been in love with Japanese culture since I was a little girl, I always have a dream that I could visit it someday, dreaming that I would walk around Shibuya, Akihabara or Ikebukuro as I wearing a piece of Classic Lolita clothes, I know it won't fits me though, but I always adore this fashion style, it just so cute. And I still have this dream until now.
Tokyo is a wonderful city and it has a lot of interesting places to visit. There are some places that I really want to visit and things I wanna do when I come:

1. Tokyo Tower (Shiba Park, Minato, Tokyo)
Tokyo Tower was built in 1958, Originally intended for television broadcasting, radio antennas were installed in 1961, but the tower is now used to broadcast signals for Japanese media outlets such as NHK, TBS and Fuji TV. It kinda looks like Eiffel Tower in Paris, we can see a beautiful view from this tower, especially on the night with lights around the town that'll makes the town looks even more beautiful.
2. Watching Cherry Blossom
Cherry Blossom is like one of several things that represent Japan, I bet there's no one who want to lose any opportunities to see this flower when they come to Japan especially in Spring. I always think that Cherry Blossom is so beautiful, it makes the town especially the park looks completely stunning with it colors, and I really wanna see it, I wanna feel the wind falls down the leafs to the ground, and in some places it'll even looks like snow.
3. Tokyo Disneyland and Sanrio Puroland
No matter how old I am I always want to visit these 2 places full of cuteness. Both Tokyo Disneyland and Sanrio Puroland is theme parks.
Tokyo Disneyland has seven themed areas in the park: the World Bazaar;  the four classic Disney lands: Adventureland, Westernland, Fantasyland & Tomorrowland; and two mini-lands: Critter Country and Mickey's Toontown, I just want to come to the all areas.
Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park, this theme park is run by the Sanrio company, and hosts various musicals, restaurants, attractions, and theme rides using popular characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Jewelpet, etc. These characters are girls' favorite characters of all ages because their cuteness. It also has an extensive gift shop selling Sanrio character merchandises.
4. Shopping at Shibuya, Ginza, Akihabara and Asakusa.
As one of the most fashionable cities in the world, Shopping is included to the things that every tourist should do, there are a lot of good places to shop in Tokyo.
Shibuya is Tokyo's busiest shopping neighborhood, there are a lot of department stores here, e.g Shibuya 109,
it's the major shopping center near Shibuya Station. Beside departmen stores, Shibuya also well known for it's three shopping strees; Koen Dori, Spain Slope (Supeinzaka) and Center Gai.
Ginza is Asia's biggest upscale shopping district, there are many affordable shops that have opened large shops in the area.
Akihabara is the center of Japanese otaku culture, it sells everything that related to anime and manga, It's the otaku paradide. Akihabara also known as the center of electronics.
Asakusa is located in Tokyo's eldest and most visited temple Sensoji, in the front of Sensoji we can find a long narrow Shopping street that sells souvenirs. Asakusa is the best spot to buy souvenirs.
5. Matsuri
Matsuri is Festival. I'm a fan of festival, I love to go to any Japan's festivals here, I want to know how it feels to be at the festival in Japan itself, I think it's more interesting since there are a lot of things to do and to see.
6. Going to the Maid Cafe in Akihabara
Maid Cafe is a cosplay restaurant, the waiters and waitress in this cafe wear maid costumes and they treat the customers like their own masters or mistress just like at home rather than cafe. Whenever customers come they'll greet them by saying Okaerinasaimase, goshujinsama (Welcome home, master or mistress) and offer them wipe towels and menus.
7. Purikura
Purikura is a sticker photo machine, it has a lot of cute editing, and they say people look better in Purikura. I always want to try this because I just find it fun and of course cute.
8. Eat Japanese Foods
I love Japanese foods. I love Ramen, Donburi, Sushi, etc. I always wonder of how it tastes in Japan, is it the same with some Japanese foods in Indonesia or it has different taste. There is a popular upscale dining called Ebisu.
Beside those places above, I still have some places I want to visit such as Mt. Fuji, Imperial Palace, etc.

A Beautiful Beach In West Java

Diposting oleh Sophie-chan di 08.26 0 komentar

Beaches are one of the most famous tourism places and also most people people's favorite places. When people ask "What is the most beautiful beach in West Java ?" maybe most of us will say Pangandaran beach, or Pelabuhan Ratu. Actually, there's a beach that more beautiful than Pangandaran, this beach called 'Batu Karas' beach. Maybe most of people are not familiar with this beach. This is a beach in the south of west java located in Ciamis, it's about 34KM or 1 hour from Pangandaran.

Batu Karas beach is way quieter and cleaner than Pangandaran beach with the beautiful views around this location, there're a lot of rocks and some cliffs in this beach that make it looks more beautiful, and the residents in this area are always being nice and welcome everyone who come so it makes everyone feels comfortable here. There's also a part of this beach that looks like a private beach because it's between 2 cliffs, but there're a lot of rocks in this area so it can't use to swim.
This beach is also called "a paradise" for people who like surfing, even one of a surf websites gave 3.0 until 3.5 out of 5.0 to rate this beach.

Unfortunately, it's kinda hard to reach this place because there're no public transportation that we can use to come here, so we have to bring our own vehicles or rent a car. The only public transportation that we can use is just take a ride on a motorcycle from Cijulang Terminal, it'll take a shortcut so we can arrive the beach earlier. The view to go to the Batu Karas beach is also beautiful, we can take some rest while looking at the beautiful view such as jungle and the sea, and some recreation places, for example Karang Nini, Batu Hiu, and Green Canyon (Cukang Taneuh).
Even though it's not really easy to reach this place, but it's worth it. We can satisfied by the view of this place, and it's really suitable for people who have been tired of their job and need some time to relax because this place is really quiet, but it'll become kinda crowded when weekend or holiday comes, but it still quieter than Pangandaran beach.

"Kota Tua" (Old City) is a tourism place that located in the west of Jakarta, and it doesn't hard to get there, there are a lot of public transportation that we can use to reach this place.
Some people in Jakarta or around Jakarta such as Depok, Bogor, and Tanggerang often come to this place on the weekend, even some foreigner tourists also like to visit this place, because there are a lot of interesting buildings here, such as Jakarta's History Museum, also known as Fatahillah's Museum, Fine Arts & Ceramics Museum, and "Wayang's" or Puppet Museum.
The ticket's price to the Fatahillah's Museum is really cheap, it's only Rp.2.000,- for general and adult, Rp.1.000,- for college's students, and Rp.600,- for students. There are a lot of things that we can learn by come to this museum. In the museum, we can see a lot of old things such as furniture, inscriptions, local music instuments from Betawi or Batavia, file cabinet, execution sword, and prehistoric society's equipments. The collections in this museum are about 1.500 years old.
There's a park in the back of this museum. In this park we can see "Meriam Si Jagur" or Si Jagur Canon, a statue of Hermes, the God of messenger, and former prison.
In the Fine Arts & Ceramics Museum, we can see a lot of old ceramics, paintings that painted by well known painters such as Raden Salah, Affandi, etc., Statues, Sculptures, and some things that found from sunken ships which were sink in Indonesia's oceans.
While in the "Wayang's" or Puppet Museum, we can see a lot of Puppet that comes from some location in Indonesia, for example, West Java, East & Central Java, Lombok, Sumatera, and some countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, India, etc. This Museum inaugurated on 13th August 1975. Some of the collections are : Puppet Show ("Wayang Golek"), Puppet ("Wayang Kulit"), Puppet China ("Wayang China"), Music Drover ("Gambang Kromong"), masks, and inscriptions.
Beside Museums, we can also find a lot of old buildings, traditional food, souvenir shops, and there are also some people who rent old bicycles that we can use to look around the area. There is also a restaurant named Batavia Cafe, this cafe has an old style, when we enter this restaurant, we can see a small stage and a piano in the first floor, and when we are about to go upstairs, we can see a lot of photos in the wall of the stairs. That time when we are in the second floor, we will feel the different atmosphere, this room is really warm and comfortable.
From the second floor, we can see the museums and some buildings in this area, and we can also feel the wind breeze gently. This restaurant give a nice service, both from the waiters and the atmosphere, and the meals are delicious but maybe it's kinda expensive for students.
